Officials deserve major credit in DI State Championship Basketball Game

The 2014 Division I State Championship boys basketball game between Pinnacle and Corona del Sol will go down as one of the best high school championship games in the history of Arizona, for any sport. Both teams battled from start to finish and laid it all out there on the court to get the hardware they work so hard for for months.

What happens to be flying under the radar from that game is the officiating. In a day-in-age where officials are more often than not the scape goats in games that come down to wild and controversial finishes, it’s time that the officials receive praise for a job well done in a high intensity moment at a critical time in a critical game.

Monday on The Brad Cesmat Show, Brad and Sports360AZ reporter Jared Cohen did just that giving additional credit where credit was due after that incredible basketball game.
