Jesse Owens had his fingerprints all over the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany.
Some urged him not to participate in the games while Adolf Hitler was leading of Nazi Germany. How did Owens respond? By winning four gold medals in the 100 m sprint and 200 m sprints, long jump, and 4×100 sprint relay, setting multiple records along the way.
Owens’ story is told in the film “Race”, opening Friday. Sports360AZ’s very own Brad Cesmat got to sit down with Stephan James, who portrayed Owens in the film.
