Amar’e Stoudemire will play in downtown Phoenix on Friday night against the Suns. When Robert Sarver let Amar’e exit stage left for New York, I was in full support of the owner. Imagine if Sarver had given in to the public/media pressure to those who wanted Stoudemire to stay for a four year deal with a fifth year guaranteed based on number of minuets played? His knees have been solo bad, he’s been battling a bulging disc and has been a complete disappointment in the Big Apple. 5yrs. $99 million for a player who has started just 69 games in the last three seasons. Jason Jewell is one of the best people I know in the world of Arizona high school football recruiting. For the past ten years he has served as the Southwest recruiting analyst for Scout.com and is the offensive line coach at Glendale CC. Kids like him, parents trust him(they don’t always agree with him). I wanted his view of the head coach opening at Chandler Basha high school. “It’s one of the premiere jobs in the state, they have the resources and administration to compete for state titles, that’s all that is missing”(a state title).
