Peter King Discusses Josh Allen, Looks Ahead To Cardinals-Bills

Every week, Football Morning In America’s Peter King joins The Brad Cesmat Show to discuss happenings in and around the National Football League.

This week, King goes in-depth on the Cardinals upcoming home game against Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills, who come in confident after a 44-34 shootout victory over Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks last week. Both Buffalo and Arizona are vying for critical victories to compete atop their respective divisions. Buffalo leads the AFC East at 7-2.

“I think this is one of the games of the weekend,” King said. “It’s tremendously fun.”

King also discussed the emergence of Allen, who had a tremendous game last week against Seattle, out dueling an MVP candidate in Wilson. Allen went 31-38 for 415 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. All of that added up to an 81.6 percent completion percentage and a passer rating of 138.5.

After a few games where the Bills signal-caller struggled earlier this season, he seemed to find his groove again.

“Josh Allen had an MVP first month of the season. He had a Max Hall second month of the season,” King joked while discussing Allen’s rise. “His ninth game of the season, he was great again, really great. I watched a lot of that game and he was outstanding against Seattle. Seattle doesn’t have the best defense, I get it but boy, he was really good. If he plays like that, it’s going to be a very hard game for Arizona to win.”

Bills and Cardinals kick off this Sunday at 2:05 p.m. local time. It’s a critical matchup for the Cardinals to keep pace with the division-leading Seahawks, who are leading the division by only one game. Both NFC West foes face off next week up in Seattle.
