Powers is Arians defensive MVP, Logan Thomas growth, my top five…

Arizona Sports News online

Patrick Peterson has not played up to the billing of “highest paid cornerback in the NFL”. Monday, head coach Bruce Arians was asked about Petersons play on Sunday. “Not good for him, got beat on an inside route when he’s supposed to have inside technique, that can’t happen, it was not his best game”. Twice this season the head coach has used his Monday media session to mention that Peterson didn’t have his best game. If there is a silver lining, the team is in first place without one of their best being at the top of his game…

It’s  what you don’t see on Sunday that can benefit a team long term. Arians was able to give rookie quarterback Logan Thomas a majority of first string snaps during last weeks practice. “It helped him a ton”, Arians said on Monday. “To get reps, to help him get into a real game plan, he was more than ready(if needed Sunday against Washington) I think he would’ve played well”…

Arians on Jerraud Powers “JP, there’s been no doubt he’s been our MVP defensively”.

Had more than a few Cardinal fans mention that they weren’t happy with the FOX broadcast team of Dick Stockton and Brady Quinn for the Washington game. The two are back at it for Cardinals-Oakland this Sunday…

My top 5

1)San Diego
2)San Francisco
3)Denver
4)Seattle
5)Dallas
