All eyes will be on Palo Alto, California this weekend when 4th-ranked Stanford (9-0) hosts 7th-ranked Oregon (8-1) in a game which could have BCS Championship implications before it’s all said and done.
For the Cardinal, it’s an opportunity to inch closer to a national championship and showcase Andrew Luck in primetime on a national stage again.
Chip Kelly and the Ducks are looking to build on their eight-game win streak and knock Stanford from the ranks of the unbeaten, while continuing to climb in the BCS standings.
One thing both these teams know how to do is light up the scoreboard. Behind the consensus All-American Luck, Stanford is averaging 48.2 points per game, while Oregon is just off the pace at 46.
Stanford starting outside linebacker and former Phoenix Brophy Prep star Trent Murphy joined Brad Cesmat on “Big Guy on Sports” Tuesday and explained what he’s seen from watching the Quack Attack on film.
“Athleticism,” Murphy explained to Cesmat. “It’s no secret. They’re fast and if anybody makes a mistake and isn’t in the right (place), they’ll gash you.”

Fortunately for Stanford, they have plenty of star power themselves and it starts with Luck who has few flaws on the field and maybe even less, off it.
“Andrew can just just about do it all,” Murphy said. “In the weight room, some of us linebackers kinda grimace at the fact that he lifts as much, if not more.”
On the field, the former 6’6 high school defensive end is no slouch himself ranking second on the team in tackles for loss (six) and sacks (4.5).
