The Phoenix Suns are building a new locker room as part of Project 201: PHX Reimagined. The $230 million venture between the city of Phoenix and the Suns organization was agreed to back in 2019.
The plan is to renovate Talking Stick Resort Arena in order to modernize it for the 21st Century. The arena hasn’t seen many renovations since opening in 1992.

This project includes a new video board, more suites, a transformation center, and the adaptation of 5G coverage. Suns forward Cameron Johnson visited the new locker room while it was being constructed this week.
“We’ve upgraded in just about every way possible,” Johnson said. “Lockers are better, space is better, screens are better, this training room is better, tubs are better, showers are much better.”

The locker room is designed with nine-foot shower heads, hot and cold hydrotherapy tubs, new LED screens for the coaches to use, and it connects to an all new players lounge.
“I’ve said it one time before, I’ll say it a million times again,” Johnson said. “It’s an exciting time to be a Sun.”
