Jake Plummer will have his moment in the spotlight Tuesday night in New York City as the Arizona State legend will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
I’m so honored to rep @ASUFootball @ArizonaState in NY @ the #NFFCollegeFBHOF ceremony. Thank you to all the fans that rooted for me and all my #Coaches & #teammates & #trainers & #Managers that believed in me & helped me along the way! I’m here because of all of you! #MuchLove pic.twitter.com/h3pILZvuuL

“I’m still kind of shocked and thinking this isn’t real,” Plummer said to Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat in a recent Skype interview. “I’m still thinking like, ‘Oh, wow. This isn’t even real.’ Just the magnitude of getting into the Hall of Fame and who I’m representing.”
Plummer expressed he’s also looking forward to speaking with some of the other inductees, including former USC and Pittsburgh Steeler star safety Troy Polamalu and fellow Idaho native and former ASU head coach Dennis Erickson.
“On the flip side of that I’m hoping some of them are excited to meet me and see what I’m about,” Plummer said flashing a wide grin. “It’s a pretty neat honor…I’m joining an elite, small percentage. That’s really when it sinks in.”
