“I didn’t really know what to say,” Plummer said to Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat in a Skype interview Tuesday. “My son was sitting there when I received the package that had the ball in it. It kind of hit me then. ‘Like wow, all that hard work and all that time and sacrifice is worth it.”
The always humble Plummer took to social media to thank his former coaches and teammates at ASU who helped make the accomplishment possible in the first place.
I’m honored/humbled/surprised to be inducted into the 2019 @cfbhall alongside all the other amazing #ballers. I’m proud to represent all my @ASUFootball teammates/brothers &coaches that were instrumental in all of my success both on&off the field! #GoDevils

“I’m very honored,” Plummer explained. “I’m still sort of shocked and surprised but it’s sinking in.”

The Boise, Idaho native was a second round pick of the Cardinals in 1997. He played 10 years in the NFL for both Arizona and the Denver Broncos and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2005.
Plummer will enter the CFB HOF December 10th in New York City.
