I thought Carson Palmer played well enough to win on Monday night. The offensive line, did not. Pro Football Focus showed that the Cardinal quarterback was pressured 23 of 55 times he dropped back to pass.
The offensive line looked more like the crew of 2012. A collection of players on roller skates who couldn’t keep the pocket clean and the quarterback upright. One reader said “Veldeer in Headlights” should be the headline of the night.
Cowboys defensive lineman Demarcus Lawerence had 3 sacks and 12 pressures. The Cardinals simply had no answer for him.
The Cardinal defense allowed Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliot 82 yards after contact and missed 3 tackles on him.
Here are the PFF top grades of the Cardinal players from the 28-17 loss.
TOP 5 GRADES:
S Tyvon Branch, 90.6 overall grade
DI Corey Peters, 83.3 overall grade
WR Larry Fitzgerald, 82.1 overall grade
EDGE Markus Golden, 80.3 overall grade
G Alex Boone, 76.0 overall grade
