Pretty impressive bid put in by the Diamondbacks on Japanese pitching sensation Masahiro Tanaka. Saturday night Japanese media outlet Nikkan reported that Arizona offered a 6 year contract worth 120-million dollars.
Tanaka went 24-0, with an earned run average of 1.27 with the Rakuten Eagles last season. According to the Nikkan report, the White Sox, Dodgers, Cubs, White Sox and Diamondbacks have made offers believed to be in the same 100-million dollar amount.
Teams have until next Friday, the 24th, at 3pm Arizona time to sign Tanaka.
