Rich Rodriguez traveled to South Carolina and met with the Gamecocks, but at the end of the day decided to stay on as head coach of the Arizona Wildcats, taking to social media Saturday night to share the news.

Great news! @CoachRodAZ did not commit to the offer from S. Carolina. He’s an Arizona Wildcat. #BearDown

While Rodriguez turned down the offer from the Gamecocks, there may still be attractive coaching openings on the college level this hiring season. The Wildcats are scheduled to have their football banquet on Sunday and announce their bowl game destination. Rodriguez is 32-17 in four seasons at Arizona.
