The United Soccer League held their annual meetings in Chicago on Wednesday. Rising FC was represented by team Governor Berke Bakay and Co-Chairman Brett Johnson.
DC United sale could up the MLS expansion fee for Phoenix Rising FC. Interesting read from the New York Times Here’s a snip.
-Rising FC is three points back of Orange County for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Even though the franchise has dropped the last two matches, there is still plenty of season left to by played.
-Rising FC is just 1-5-3 away from home. With the next three matches on the road, it’s time to see improvement in unfriendly surroundings.
-The next two matches are against teams below them in the table. Time to make up some ground.
-Can this team get off to a quick start? While Saturday nights 1-0 result had more to do with a poor call against keeper Josh Cohen late in the match, facts are the team hasn’t jumped out to a quick lead most of this season.
