Growing up in southern California, former All Pac-12 and NFL linebacker Brandon Magee didn’t understand the Territorial Cup rivalry until he arrived in Tempe.
Once he got his first taste of the T-Cup battle between the University of Arizona and Arizona State, the first emotions he felt never went away, even four years after taking his final snap with the Sun Devils.
“It just brings up a whole different attitude towards them,” Magee told Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat Monday. “I don’t like these guys. I want to beat them.”

Magee talked about the week leading up to the Cup and some of his fondest memories, including playing against his former high school teammate Matt Scott, who was Arizona’s starting quarterback from 2008-12.
Saturday afternoon at Sun Devil Stadium the two teams will meet for the 91st time. Kickoff is set for 2:30 and the game is sold out.
