Saguaro’s Javen Jacobs Talks Offers, Versatility Heading into Season

Arizona Sports News online

Not many Saguaro Sabercats play on both sides of the ball for Jason Mohns, but 2022 athlete Javen Jacobs handled those duties as a sophomore as a wide receiver and defensive back.

Last year, he accumulated 120 all purpose yards and a touchdown and had 29 tackles, two tackles for loss and two interceptions on defense. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound athlete also hit .357 with six runs, three doubles and a home run on the baseball field.

On the recruiting field, Jacobs holds offers from Arizona State, New Mexico and Idaho and has been talking to the likes of Stanford and Northwestern as well.

He caught up with Sports360AZ to talk about how his role as a junior, what he learned from his older brother, Josiah, and how he hopes to improve this offseason.
