Arizona didn’t have linebacker Scooby Wright on the field for most of the 2015 season because of injuries. The 2014 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year was healthy enough to suit up for the Wildcats in Saturdays Gildan New Mexico Bowl and he put on a show. The junior linebacker finished with 16 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks as Arizona was able to hold off the New Mexico Lobos 45-37.
Wright missed most of this past season with a knee injury (torn meniscus) and foot injury (sprain). He announced after the Wildcat victory that he is putting his name into the 2016 NFL draft (No surprise).

Offensively, Wildcat quarterback Anu Solomon (who was injured and didn’t play vs Arizona State), had a very productive bowl game. Just a sophomore, Solomon showed great poise on the afternoon, throwing for 329 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Jared Baker rushed for 107 yards and 3 tds.
The win capped off a tough season for head coach Rich Rodriguez. 42 different players started for the Wildcats because of injuries. With the victory the Wildcats finished the season with 7-6 record.
