BEAVERTON, ORE. –
North Canyon wide receiver Solomon Enis has been one of the most dominant players in Arizona. The 6-foot-5, 190-pound receiver is coming off a season where he averaged 127.1 receiving yards per game and 10 receiving touchdowns.
But when it came time to compete against the nation’s best at The Opening last week, it took Enis a little by surprise.
“I mean it’s challenging. I came out in the first drive and when I got in, and I was not expecting it at all,” Enis said. “It was all a shaken world for me. But then once I sat down and put my headphones on and focused on what I had to do, I was having fun with it. I was having fun with my teammates and making plays and scoring touchdowns.”
Enis upped his game quickly and caught a touchdown for Team Mach Speed on their way to the 7-on-7 championship. One of his quarterbacks, Justin Fields, won tournament MVP.
“He’s a big-bodied receiver,” Fields said. “He has great hands, runs great routes, and just is the total package so it’s definitely great to throw to him.

Enis has a laundry list of offers including most of the Pac-12 and SEC powers.
Currently, the three pushing the hardest for the North Canyon wideout is Penn State, Arizona State and USC.
You can see the ties to each school as a landing spot. Enis’ father, Curtis Enis, was a Penn State standout from 1995-97 and Solomon said he has a strong relationship with Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin.
USC earned a commitment from Enis’ former teammate and good friend Austin Jackson in the last recruiting cycle and sports one of the best recruiting classes in the nation.
There is the hometown appeal for Arizona State, and Enis could find early playing time with the Sun Devils similarly to what former Chandler wide receiver N’Keal Harry was able to do as a freshman last year.
No matter where Enis goes, he wants to take his official visits this fall and get a decision done.
Representing Arizona
Solomon Enis got to share this experience at The Opening with fellow Arizona standouts Tyler Shough and Gunner Romney.
“I’m pretty sure with me and with Gunner, we’re the first people from our in our high school to make it,” Enis said. “That’s pretty cool to share. We’re the first ones to go, and then along with a high profile quarterback with Tyler himself, us three, it’s a good feeling.”
