In what may have been the last home game for Eno Benjamin, the Arizona State running back put on a show, scoring two touchdowns and rumbling for 168 yards, as the Sun Devils took down Arizona 24-14 in a game that wasn’t as close as the final score would indicate.
Benjamin could forgo his senior season and enter the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Sun Devil defense would pick off three Khalil Tate balls on the night. Jack Jones would have two of the interceptions.
The first half produced just one touchdown, Tate connecting with Jamarye Joiner on a 48 yard scoring pass; The Sun Devils would manage two Cristian Zendejas field goals and trail 7-6 after the first half.
With the victory, Arizona State has momentum going into their bowl game preparations, having won two straight. Arizona’s season comes to an end with a disappointing 4-8 record, dropping their final 7 in a row.
