The world was shocked when news came out that a helicopter carrying Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gigi and seven other passengers had crashed, leaving no survivors.
Bryant’s presence was felt not only in the basketball community but throughout the world as people reacted to the news of his and his daughter’s passing.
This clip of Kobe explaining the game to his daughter went viral just last week too. https://t.co/LM73m3a9Zk

#KobeBryant talking about his daughter Gianna’s love for the game of basketball with @jimmykimmel is the most heartbreaking thing I have seen in a long long time pic.twitter.com/NnNFG99WLs

I’ll never forget the look on Kobe’s face when I referred to him as Gigi’s Dad during this interview. His face lit up and that trademark Kobe smile stretched across his face.
His greatest accomplishment was being a Dad. pic.twitter.com/SkkaJOh8eJ

Most people will remember Kobe as the magnificent athlete who inspired a whole generation of basketball players. But I will always remember him as a man who was much more than an athlete. pic.twitter.com/9EZuwk8wrV

Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act. To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day.
