The New York Red Bulls have traveled out to Phoenix for a friendly match to be played on Thursday from Chase Field. Their opponent is one of the most popular club teams in Mexico, Pumas UNAM.
Over the last year, all-world athlete, Thierry Henry has been with the Red Bulls after spending some time with Aresenal in Europe. Henry also was apart of the 1998 World Cup Champion France team.
Playing in the United States has been a different experience for Henry.
“I am enjoying it,” said Henry at the game press conference Tuesday. “I am here playing in the MLS, you can’t compare it and it’s been a great ride so far.”
The Red Bulls are hoping to have more success this season after exiting the playoffs earlier than anticipated in 2011.
The team hopes as a result of this friendly match that they improve and grow as a team while staying free of injury.
Kick-off is at 8 p.m. Thursday from Chase Field in downtown Phoenix. Tickets are still on sale and start as low as $20.
