Three questions for Pac-12 Media Day

There are three story lines that I am sure will be asked of Arizona State head football coach Todd Graham at Tuesday’s Pac-12 Media Day.

Pros2preps.com Eric Sorenson and Jared Cohen will be at the event providing guests on the ‘Big Guy on Sports’ radio show XTRA910am (12-2pm) and on the website throughout the day.

– Who will his starting quarterback be?

Graham told me on the show last month that they would announce the starter at Camp Tontozona, so unless he has changed his mind, the answer on Tuesday will be “we will open camp with three quarterbacks”. My guess is sophomore Mike Bercovici will be given the nod to start the season.

– Does he regret how he left the program at Pittsburgh?

In almost every corner of college football the Graham hire was ridiculed. So those who haven’t had a chance to be around the program on a regular basis are going to revisit how Graham left the Panther program after just one season

– Who are the leaders of the program in year one?

Linebacker Brandon Magee and running back Cameron Marshall are the likely first two names.

Magee ruptured his Achilles last season and is being described as a dominant force within the Sun Devil program. If he is healthy he could be one of the top players in the conference.

Marshall ran for over 1,000 yards and scored 18 touchdowns last season. If he gets off to a strong start (missed most of spring ball with minor ankle surgery) he could become a sleeper Heisman Trophy candidate.
