Mesquite 2021 quarterback Ty Thompson is in his second year of starting for the Wildcats and hitting the ground running on the feld and in his recruitment.
On the year, Thompson has passed for a state-leading 2,267 yards, 27 touchdowns, eight interceptions and rushed for 283 yards and three additional scores.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound quarterback holds offers from NAU, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Arizona, Boston College, ASU, Cal and Miami.

Thompson had a busy offseason, visiting multiple campuses including Wisconsin, Boston College, Texas A&M, Iowa State, Stanford, Arizona and most recently Cal.
He caught up with Sports360AZ to talk about some of the schools jumping out to him and how he’s looking to develop as one of the state’s top passers.
