On August 23, 2011 the Arizona Diamondbacks swapped second baseman with the Toronto Bluejays, trading away Kelly Johnson and acquiring Aaron Hill and John McDonald as well.
The move ended up working in the Diamondbacks favor as Hill wound up hitting .315 in 33 games and had clutch play in the National League Division series as well.
For a lot of players, making the transition to a new team and a new league mid-season is difficult, but after struggling for most of 2011 with Toronto, Hill turned his season around in Arizona.
Now Hill is back in Arizona and should be penciled in as the Diamondbacks everyday second baseman.
Pros2preps.com caught up with Aaron Hill, who talked about why his transition with the team has gone so smooth and his outlook on the upcoming season.
