Trevor Bauer to make majors debut

The Diamondbacks announce Trevor Bauer will make his major league debut on the road Thursday against the Atlanta Braves.

In his last eight games with the Reno Aces he has a 2.82 ERA.

The right handed pitcher got the call up after Joe Saunders went on the disabled list with shoulder trouble.

Bauer was the Diamondbacks top draft pick last year and has carried high expectations with every minor league start.

Fans will have a chance to see Bauer pitch in person when the Diamondbacks return to town next week with a series against the San Diego Padres.
