Valle Luna, “Making a Difference” Myka Sutherlin

Myka Sutherlin from Campo Verde high school is this weeks Valle Luna “Making a Difference’ athlete of the week.

Myka’s charity work ranges from ringing the bell for the Salvation Army every holiday season for the last 4 years, to organizing gifts for a family in need, she has a heart for giving.  IMG_2213She has participated in her church’s homeless out-reach program called La Mesa.  Myka has also been a part of organizing team events to St. Mary’s Food Bank and Feed My Starving Children.    She is currently the President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and helps lead and facilitate each meeting.  She has been a member of the FCA since beginning high school.  With her softball schedule and keeping her GPA at a 3.9, she still finds time to do charity work.  Red Mnt Classic -21She is excited for the future, and making a difference and hopes to take her giving heart with her when she heads to the University of Pacific to continue her softball career. Media personality Brad Cesmat first rose to fame in Southern California with the launching of "The Mighty 690" all-sports radio station in the late 1980's and early 90's. His vision of multi platform content marketing through sports began in September of 2011. Cesmat has served on the Advisory Board for the Salvation Army for the last 18 years. He and his wife Chris have four children.
