VIDEO: Daryl Johnston “Very Impressed” With Kyler Murray

While the wins aren’t exactly stacking up for Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals, the rookie quarterback continues to make believers of people all around the league, including in one key area which frequently separates success from failure at the highest level.

“I was very impressed,” NFL on FOX analyst Daryl Johnston said to Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat in a phone interview earlier this week. “The most impressive thing to me is seems like all quarterbacks struggle with the value of the possession, not turning the football over.”

Johnston, who worked the telecast of the Cards-49ers’ game last weekend in Santa Clara, knows Murray’s decision-making is keeping Arizona in games against teams which, for the most part, have more talent across the board.

“He has a healthy respect and does a great job protecting the football,” Johnston continued. “That gives his team a chance…he’s putting them in position to win the game and now it’s just that process, that development as a team to be able to close it out.”

The Cards (3-7-1) are on bye this week. Their next game is December 1st at 2:05 against the Los Angeles Rams at State Farm Stadium.
