Kliff Kingubury’s career with the Arizona Cardinals started a bit rocky but people around the league are taking notice, despite the Red Birds 3-7-1 record entering Sunday’s game against the LA Rams in Glendale.
“Kyler Murray, Kliff Kingsbury that duo has shown and already created a lot of confidence from the organization within, from the fans on the outside,” FOX Sports Arizona host/reporter Jody Jackson said to Sports360AZ.com via Skype earlier this week. “Kingsbury’s smart. He’s a good offensive coordinator. He’s learning on the head coach front and Kyler Murray has been so impressive in a number of ways.”
While the offense has shown promise, the Cards’ defense has struggled, particularly against the pass and, according to Jackson, been one of the main reasons why Arizona’s record is one of the worst in the NFL and they find themselves at the bottom of the NFC West.
Most importantly, she believes Kingsbury has not lost the team despite the up-and-down season to this point.
“These guys, they want to win, they want to be able to close out some games,” Jackson explained. “So hopefully they can be competitive in these games and win a couple of them.”
The Rams and Cardinals will kick off at 2:05 at State Farm Stadium.
