After dropping both games in Los Angeles this weekend, news did not get much better for the Arizona Wildcats after the returned home to Tucson. They learned that freshman Allonzo Trier will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a broken bone in his shooting hand.
Head Coach Sean Miller released this statement on Sunday:
“When an injury occurs to one of our players, the first priority is his wellbeing. I am disappointed first and foremost to see a great young man like Allonzo suffer an injury. He was playing the best basketball of his young career at Arizona. Allonzo has worked tirelessly every day since he arrived on our campus. Hopefully he will be able to rejoin us at some point this season and continue his improvement and development as an outstanding player.”
Trier came has been one of the best, if not the best offensive performer for the Wildcats to this point as he averaged just under 15 points per game and shooting over 51 percent from the floor. Trier posted 25 points, six rebounds and four assists Saturday at USC.

The Wildcats just got senior Kaleb Tarczewski back in the lineup after missing more than three weeks with a foot injury. Arizona will look to end a two game skid as they take on the Washington schools starting with the Huskies this Thursday.
