When you’re one of the best college basketball programs year in and year out, you’re blessed with some of the top talent committing to your team.
Though that commitment could only be for one year.
Each college program is faced with this, and the Arizona Wildcats are faced with that each year.
This blessing/challenge is part of the reason why the Arizona basketball team is heading to Spain to play in three exhibition games but, more importantly, bond.
The three games will give every player on the roster, including transfer Chase Jeter, who is ineligible this season, an opportunity to play in the Wildcat system.
This is also a time for the team’s freshmen class, which features DeAndre Ayton, the #1 player in the country and former Corona del Sol star Alex Barcello to get their feet under them while donning the blue and red.
Miller raved about Alex Barcello and Brandon Randolph’s shooting ability, Emmanuel Akot’s versatility, Ira Lee’s attitude/athleticism.

The group, which was the #3 class according to Scout, will be called upon to help replace playmakers like Lauri Markkanen, KaDeem Allen, Kobi Simmons and Chance Comanche. In this process, the Wildcats have ten practices before their exhibition. The Wildcats will play on August 13th in Valencia, Spain.
